I’ve Reinvented Myself Twice. Both Times, It Started With Being Stuck.
I’m not a developer. I never learned to code. Everything I’ve built, I built as a non-technical business owner figuring it out as I went — twice.
The First Pivot
For 16 years, I ran Nice Pharmacy in Cheras — 2007 to 2023. That business taught me how to run something real: staff, stock, customers, the daily grind of keeping a shop alive. When ecommerce opened up, I made the jump, and it worked. Over the years I trained more than 1,000 students and built a following of 161,000 on TikTok teaching others how to sell online.
The Plateau
Then the market got crowded. Everyone was selling the same playbook, and standing out got harder every month. I leaned on a content creator to keep my output going — until she ghosted me, after I’d already paid her in advance. That’s when I realised: if content is the engine of the business, I couldn’t keep outsourcing the engine to someone who could disappear overnight.
The Wake-Up Call
I tried to fix it with OpenClaw, hoping to build an AI UGC video system without having to become technical myself. It didn’t go well. Three weeks of roadblocks and bugs. A two-day lockout when their system broke completely. And the moment that really stung — burning USD17 in a single day on tasks that should have taken minutes.
The Breakthrough
So I stopped trying to force someone else’s tool to work, and built my own pipeline instead. Two days to build. Running by day four. It has not missed a day since — and it’s still running today, still selling hundreds of units for my own store.
Who I Am Today
I’m still the same non-technical business owner I’ve always been — I just built a team that doesn’t ghost me, doesn’t need a salary, and doesn’t sleep. My own content now gets cited unprompted in Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT. Not because I’m technical. Because the system works.
